Phat Wednesday DH Series
Two Wednesdays a month throughout the summer WORCA and the Whistler Mountain Bike Park join together to host the Phat Wednesdays Dounhill Series, races that are a lot like WORCA Loonie events. The races cost $2 to enter (members only price) and each event is followed with refreshments at an apres party at the GLC, come out and win FANTASTIC SCHWAG!! You must have a WORCA Membership to ride and you must have your own lift pass (discounted passes will be available to riders the day of, please get in touch with our freeride director if you need one).
Sign-in for each race will take place at the base of Whistler Mountain at Garbanzo Bike and Bean at 5:00pm. Riders should make their way to the race start for 6:00pm. Après will always be held at the GLC where winners will be announced and awesome draw prizes, donated by our sponsors, will be handed out.
Every event takes place on a different trail or trails, and you never know what you’re going to get. Everyone is welcome to take part, from youth riders to casual riders to hardcore park rats.
If you want to be a part of the action but aren’t racing, contact Seb for volunteer opportunities. It’s guaranteed to be a fun evening!
