2025 Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors
Nomination Deadline extended to September 5. We are still looking for nominations for Special Events Director and Community Events Director.
The 2025 WORCA AGM will be on September 25. We are searching for members to fill the following vacant board positions:
Community Events Director (one-year term). Overseeing Toonie Rides.
Special Events Director (one-year term). Overseeing The Back Forty, The Witsend and The Hillman.
Advocacy (one-year term). Advancing efforts to improve equity, diversity and inclusion for events and trail use.
Other positions up for election, with existing directors seeking re-election, are as follows: Vice President (two-year term), Secretary (two-year term), Trails Director (one-year term).

Nominations must be submitted in advance. Your submission will be shared with members at least two weeks before the AGM so that they have time to consider information about all applicants before they vote at the AGM.
If you would like to apply, please send your nomination by Wednesday, August 27 to trevor@worca.com with the following information:
Your name and the position you are running for.
The skills/experience that make you a strong candidate for the position.
Your capacity to commit to a volunteer role, and why you are interested in being on the WORCA Board.
Full names of two current WORCA members that support your nomination.
Headshot image that we can use when we share your nomination details with our members.
In order to apply to become a director, you must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:
Be a current WORCA member in good standing
Be at least 18 years of age
Capable of managing your own affairs
Are not undergoing bankruptcy
Have not been convicted of fraud or a corporate offence within the last five years
