Race Information:
Riders:
120 total (men and women categories - juniors are welcome but will compete in adult categories)
Doping:
All bikes will be checked and documented at the start of the First stage.
Please make sure your bike info is up to date here.
Be ready for random doping control throughout the event to verify that your bike has not been altered.
Plates and Start Times:
Please download the plate numbers and preliminary start times for the first two stages (xls). I have tried to get fast people in the front and cruisers in the middle to back. I also drew names a bit at random so there is some irregularity as well. The time trial on Thursday will start in sequential order by plate number. The DH is somewhat seeded and not sequential. You need to be ready to go at the time stated. Hopefully everyone is good with where they are at. I don’t know everyone so I did my best in making it as fair as possible. Note: These may change slightly due to roster changes. I will send a final list next week but it will be similar to this.

Sign On is on the Hydro Rd at the top of Cardiac Hill, opposite Nita Lake Employee Housing and will open at 5:00pm. Please be at the start 45 minutes prior to your start time to sign in and get your number plate and go through doping. All riders must report to the Doping Tent at the START. We are starting riders every 10 seconds starting at 6pm in plate order so be ready.
Finish is at the Emerald Forest Gravel Pit at the bottom of Lorimer Rd. Keep your number plate attached as you will use it for all four stages.
There is no organized après as this is part of the Slope Side Supply/Samurai Sushi Loonie Race which is a fundraiser for Trip For Kids. You have already made a donation as part of your entry. If you want to donate more bring some loose change. If you need/want something for the finish bring it yourselves. There will be a pack truck going from the Start to the Finish as well. Awards will be given out in the gravel pit.

We need volunteers for this stage. If you know of anyone get them to email thefourjacks2009@gmail.com.
Sign On is at base of Whistler Bike Park and will open at 4:00pm
You have to sign in, sign a waiver and get a lift ticket at the bottom (bring your pass if you have one), wait in line at Fitz and then upload to top of Garbonzo which takes 30 minutes in the air alone so allow lots of time. Try to be done sign in and getting on the lift 1 hour before your start time to be safe.
Wear appropriate clothing/pads/helmets. It could/will be gnarly (especially if not dry).
There is 1 minute between start times but there will still be passing on course. Pass safely.
Note: The bike park will be open while we are racing. Be careful at all trail crossings, etc. It is impossible to have a fully closed course. Tyler thinks he will be around 20 minutes so a lot of us will be in the 25-30+ range. Slowing down at intersections will not make or break your time. We need to be safe!
Note #2: Greg Mac rode it today with 2.0 Larsens and he had 4 flats!
In Deep is the hardest section. Be careful. There are also a few gap jumps on Sidetrack with routes around. The jumps are way faster but make sure you’re aware of anyone close in front before you hit them.
There will be volunteers throughout the course. Please report any accidents. Stop and help someone if needed. This is a fun race!
If required go to doping control at finish.
Awards will be at the GLC following the event. There is no organized après but JD will be on special. Hopefully everyone sticks around for a while.

Please be equipped for anything. Eat and drink a lot. Help one another!
The finish will be at Cardiac Hill.
Again report to doping if required.
Après/Awards will be in the evening after dinner at the Dirt Diggler Mansion aka The Serpent’s Lair 7pm. Details TBA. Just think Dirt Diggler mixed with the Playboy Mansion mixed with The Shining. Address to be given out at the finish. Please do not park on the street when going to the party. Beverages will be provided but not dinner.

This stage is still a race however there will be 6-8 time bonus features that will affect your time.
The bonuses will be a follows: Clean: 3 minute bonus Try and Error: 1 minute penalty Walk: 3 minute penalty.
We will announce the features at the start.
Doping again if required.
Après/Awards will be in Emerald. Address will be given at finish. Dinner and beverages will be provided.
If driving to this stage do not park in Emerald. Park out at Cougar. Or in Alpine and then ride out. We don’t want to draw too much attention in the neighborhoods.
First Aid:
Please report any injuries/accidents to the nearest volunteer. Carry a cell phone if possible. There will be a First Aid bump in the DH and the Up Down Up at the top of all big descents. The time trial and backyard jam will have a First Aid Sweep.
Passing:
Please pass safely and courteously. Say “On Your Left/Right” in a loud clear voice. If you are being passed let the person who asks by right away especially in the first two stages. If they have caught you they have already beaten you. Remember if you are going slow you are making it scarier for those that are trying to pass.
Marking:
The park stage will be pretty straightforward marking wise, lots of SRAM tape, etc. All other stages will be arrowed and flagged and should be well marked.
Scoring:
Stage winners will receive a score of 3/4. All others will score their placing (2nd = 2pts, etc). If you are a DNF/DSQ in a stage you will receive the last placing plus 5. If you DNS you will be last placing plus 10. The women will be scored in your own category separate from the men. Low score is the Jack or Jill of All Trades and wins overall! We will try and post results each night online here.
