Ride2Ride

For a group who thrives on being in the great outdoors, it’s high time we started thinking about our environmental impact. With roughly 200-300 people coming out to the weekly Toonie events, WORCA encourages more people to leave their cars at home and ride to ride!

The Ride2Ride initiative was launched at Whistler’s 2008 Enviro-Fest. The message is simple and easy to embrace. If you’re heading out for a ride, whether it’s a regular toonie, an after-work cruise, a weekend epic or a road spin, think twice before wrestling with your roof rack and risking road rage. Why not ride your bike to the trail? Once you’re in the habit, keep track of the distance ridden before the start and after the finish of each Thursday course. At the end of the season, all participants will be invited to an exclusive WORCA appreciation event and will be eligible for special prizes (details announced in September each year).
