Pemberton Slow Food Cycle - August 15th
After a brief hiatus due to last year’s forest fire in Pemberton, the Slow Food Cycle is back! Sea to Sky’s signature agritourism event, Slow Food Cycle Sunday Pemberton blows the fast-food drive-through away. A pedal-powered trip through the natural buffet that is Pemberton Meadows farmland, to meet local growers and sample produce fresh from the field, Slow Food Cycle is:
* Good for your carbon credits
* Flat and scenic and ride-able for all ages and levels of fitness
* A sensory smorgasboard

Slow Food Cycle Sunday Registration: Open at 8:30, located in downtown Pemberton on Frontier and Birch. Sign in and get all your ride information, map and swag. Tools available for minor bike repair and snacks for sale to get you started.
Pancake Breakfast: Hosted at Lillooet River Lodge in Pemberton, enjoy a German potato pancake breakfast to get you fueled up for the ride. Starts at 8am, runs until they are out. Call to book or drop by on your way up, they are only minutes by bike from the route. 604-966-8246.
Salmon BBQ dinner: Enjoy a Salmon BBQ after the ride at the Pemberton Valley Vineyard. Reservations are suggested; call 604-894-5857
AugustFest: Swing by Pioneer Park in downtown Pemberton after the ride to celebrate AugustFest from 3pm-7pm. This Bavarian-inspired beer garden is a benefit for the Pemberton Community Kitchen, an initiative of the Pemberton Rotary Club, Friends of the Library and Pemberton Lions.

Wild Willie’s “Come Ride with Us”
Wild Willie’s “Come Ride with Us” program will start next week, Monday, May 31st.
These are fun, social rides for all abilities. Riders are divided into groups based on ability and go out with guides who instruct when necessary.

WORCA memberships are required. Please purchase your membership in advance online. Memberships can also be purchased at the event.

What began this spring is now 99% completed, and we encourage riders to hit it up. In Emerald the trail starts exactly where the classic Shit Happens crosses Anal Intruder. In Alpine you will get spit out on Mountain view Drive.
Go ride it, it needs it.
September Cruider Ride - September 27
When: Sunday Sept 27.
Where: Meet at Skier Plaza (base of the mountain), in front of The Longhorn
Time: Meet at 4:30pm for Show and Shine, we ride at 5pm rain or shine. We will return to the Longhorn for a bevy afterwards. All bikes welcome and The Longhorn allows minors till 8pm.

The final cruiser ride will be a Zombie Halloween Cruise around Tapley’s with glow sticks, headlamps and flashlights. Some extra lighting will be available. Funds collected from this ride will go to Search and Rescue.
Wild Willies Rides starting at 6pm
With the days getting shorter, the Wild Willies Monday night rides will now be starting at 6pm (instead of 6:30) with a 5:30 sign in.

One Day Bike Ride for Bicycles for Humanity
Whistler to Anderson Lake Sunday
August 30th 2009
For mountain bikers or road riders!
Come support B4H by doing the scenic ride from Whistler to Anderson Lake.There are two ride choices. You can ride the approximately 80 km direct or do a detour up the Pemberton Meadows and back for a ride of approximately 120 km. There will be a BBQ at 3 pm so your ride choice should keep this time in mind.
At the public docks and picnic area, on Anderson Lake, you can go for a swim and enjoy the BBQ that will be provided for the riders. Your change of clothes, towel, bathing suit, lawn chair and any beverages you choose will be transported to Anderson Lake and you and your bike will be bussed back to Whistler after the BBQ.(approx. 6 pm)
You Get:
your gear transported to Anderson Lake
a snack and water stop at Mount Currie
a support wagon
a BBQ
transportation back to Whistler
You Need:
To be at the back of lot 4 to load you gear between 8am and 9am Sunday morning
Water bottles
A bike tube
Optional: lawn chair, bathing suit, beverages of your choice, a change of clothes
You Give:
A donation for B4H is included in the cost of the ride. This will go towards helping send a container of used bikes from Whistler to Africa

We’d like to invite our members to join us for a fun group ride prior to our monthly meetings. This is your opportunity to meet the directors and chat with us about trail advocacy and planning issues, volunteer opportunities, trail maintenance projects, ideas for future events (including our upcoming 20th Anniversary celebrations), and/or anything else that’s been on your mind.
