2026 Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors
The 2026 WORCA AGM will be on October 1. We are searching for members to fill the following vacant board positions:
Treasurer (two-year term)
Special Events Director (one-year term)
Trails Director (one-year term)
We also have two new proposed director positions that will need to be approved my majority vote at the AGM before the election of directors:
Youth Advocacy (one-year term)
E-Bike Advocacy (one-year term)
Other positions up for election, with existing directors seeking re-election, are as follows: President (two-year term, Dale Mikkelsen is stepping down but our current Trails Director, Ben Hryciw, is running for this position), Community Events Director (one-year term), Advocacy Director (one-year term).

Nominations must be submitted in advance. Your submission will be shared with members at least two weeks before the AGM so that they have time to consider information about all applicants before they vote at the AGM.
If you would like to apply, please send your nomination by Thursday, September 3 to trevor@worca.com with the following information:
Your name and the position you are running for.
The skills/experience that make you a strong candidate for the position.
Your capacity to commit to a volunteer role, and why you are interested in being on the WORCA Board.
Full names of two current WORCA members that support your nomination.
Headshot image that we can use when we share your nomination details with our members.
In order to apply to become a director, you must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:
Be a current WORCA member in good standing
Be at least 18 years of age
Capable of managing your own affairs
Are not undergoing bankruptcy
Have not been convicted of fraud or a corporate offence within the last five years
