WORCA “Meet the Candidates” Night

Date: Tuesday, October 6, 2026

Time: 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

Location: Multipurpose Room, Whistler Secondary School

Whistler's municipal election is fast approaching (October 17, 2026) so come out to the WORCA’s "Meet the Candidates" Night to get more informed. Have a question for a candidate? Not sure who all the names are on the ballot? We will be dividing up into small groups and sitting down at a table with the candidates, giving them a chance to give a short 'elevator pitch' before providing you the opportunity to ask them your questions. Every five minutes the candidates will move from table to table, speed dating style.

This event is free and open to the public, not just WORCA members.

Schedule:

7:00pm: Welcome - WORCA President

7:10pm: 1 minute Elevator Pitches, School Trustees, then Councillors, then Mayoralty, in random order within each group – candidates introduced by Tony Horn.

7:40pm: ‘Speed Dating’, public stays seated at tables, Candidates circulate, moving every 5 minutes. Moderated by Tony Horn.
