2016 Whistler Mountain Bike Economic Impact Study Released!

The eagerly anticipated 2016 Whistler Mountain Bike Economic Impact Study commissioned by Tourism Whistler, WORCA, Whistler Blackcomb, RMOW and conducted by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) has been released. We're pleased to see that the trail network that WORCA builds and maintains is not only awesome fun to ride but that it contributes in such a positive way to the local economy. Trash Improvements

Due to increased traffic accessing the Train Wreck and in consultation with WORCA the RMOW Trail Maintenance crew began work upgrading the segment of Trash from S2S trail to the new Suspension bridge last week. Look out for the ‘Trail Crew Working’ signs as the team moves along the trail which will remain open for all traffic during the 3 week project. WORCA launches Youth Coach Training Program

During the summer months WORCA hosts 5-day youth dirt camps, fully coached to support youth aged 5 to 16 years. WORCA recruits full-time and part-time adult coaches who have a passion for mountain biking and inspiring the next generation of riders. WORCA has established a Youth Coach Training Program to provide local youth who want to pursue a career in coaching with valuable vocational work experience. Forlise, TrailForks & PinkBike trails donation

During Crankworx last summer Forlise, TrailForks and PinkBike hosted the Big Download which featured $2 Beers, Beer Pong Tournament, Prizes & Swag, DJ Lon. Afterwards they donated proceeds of $738 to WORCA's trail work program. Thank you for supporting trail development in Whistler! Read more

2017 Toonie Ride Date Fixing Meeting, Feb 21

WORCA invites all businesses/organisations (or a representative of the business) interested in (co) hosting a 2017 Toonie ride to the 2017 Toonie Ride Date Fixing Meeting on Feb 21, 2017. A representative for each business/sponsorship group must be present for inclusion in the 2017 Toonie series. Available ride dates range from early May to Early September.
